Blake Fraser is a highly accomplished screenwriter, director and storyboard artist based in Melbourne. His passion for illustration led him to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Photography at the prestigious National Art School, where he studied from 2000 to 2002. After graduation, he began working in advertising as a professional storyboard artist.
In 2011, Blake attended the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) to study directing. His graduating film "Recon 6" was shortlisted for the Berlin International Film Festival in 2012, and his coming-of-age short "Big City Lights" was screened at the St Kilda Film Festival in 2013. Following this, he worked as a professional film director for advertisements, music videos, and comedy sketches.
In 2017, Blake’s coming-of-age horror series "Patricia Moore" was invited to MIPTV Cannes for the inaugural short-form series pitch and was commissioned by French streaming service Blackpills. After production, it was selected by prestigious festivals such as Tribeca TV, Series Mania France, and Series Fest Denver. It then went on to win numerous awards, placed at number 3 on the World Series World Cup and was also nominated for an AACTA award for Best Online Drama category in 2020.
Blake is currently in development of new long form content while shooting ads and drawing boards for commercials and drama.
